On October 6th, in a press release by issued the NIH, Alex Shalek was named as one of the recipients of the prestigious NIH Director’s New Innovator Award.

Part of the Common Fund’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research program, the New Innovator Award supports exceptionally creative, early-career investigators who propose innovative, high-impact projects.
