Biography

Lucas is a visiting student from Heidelberg University who is writing his Master’s thesis in the Shalek Lab. He received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Tuebingen (Germany). Pursuing a master’s degree in biochemistry at Heidelberg University, Lucas became interested in computational biology, immunology and single cell methods. In his project, he tries to use computational approaches to better understand the role of T cells in diverse disease settings. Outside of the lab, Lucas enjoys running, other outdoor activities, and the creation of bio-related memes.
