Biography

Tasneem is originally from Karachi, Pakistan and moved to the U.S. to pursue her undergraduate studies at Boston University where she majored in biomedical engineering. With a drive to make a difference in healthcare and research, she worked on various research projects focusing on tumor and lung mechanobiology. Currently in the Shalek lab, she is working on a tuberculosis project focused on studying immune control of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection using single-cell genomics. In her free time, Tasneem enjoys biking around the city, doing yoga, and not cooking.
