Elliot joined the Shalek Lab in 2021, after working in event and project management in the Klarman Cell Observatory and Regev Lab at the Broad Institute. She earned her BA in political science, with a focus on African studies and community and international development, from the University of Vermont. After college, she worked as a lift operator at Heavenly Mountain in South Lake Tahoe, but returned to the east coast to a career in nonprofit development and event management in New York City. Elliot earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2021. She enjoys spending time outside no matter the season, hanging with her husband Daniel, mini aussie Charlie, and rescue cat Penny, volunteering at the AMC high mountain huts in New Hampshire, and lately, picking up a variety of new hobbies, next on the list are golf and pottery.
