Biography
Originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Nolawit, better known as Nola, moved to the U.S. to pursue an undergraduate degree at MIT where she was able to work in the Birnbaum Lab using viral vectors to interrogate T-Cell Receptor Ligand interactions. These days, Nola gets to work on understanding cancer transcriptomics and biophysics as a shared research technician between the Shalek lab and Manalis lab of the Koch Institute at MIT. Her favorite hobbies include movie watching, couch potato-ing, distracting people and sewing (sometimes).
